Hugo Boss was founded in 1924 in Metzingen, Germany by Hugo Ferdinand Boss. The brand produces high-quality women’s and men’s clothing, shoes and accessories. The brand stands for sustainability, culture and sport.
In addition to the actual product range, HUGO BOSS is also known for its events campaigns and partnerships. The brand sells through its own shops, in retail and online. The company is pursuing a portfolio strategy that currently consists of two strong brands – BOSS and HUGO.
The brand has been majority-owned by the financial investor Permira since 2007. Claus-Dietrich Lahrs has been the CEO of Hugo Boss AG since 2008. There has also been a Boss children’s clothing collection
